Powder Coating is environmentally friendly. Unlike liquid finishing were solvents are used, powder coatings do not release Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) into the atmosphere. Further more, powder can be recycled and used again, therefore making Powder Coating more economical! Powder Coating is the right solution to fulfil high demands in performance and quality. Markets such as Aluminium Profiles, Metal Furniture, Machine Industry, Heating, and Air-Conditioning, Household Appliances, and Automobile Industry are using Powder Coating as standard application. Powder is fluidized in a hopper where compressed air is forced through the material loosening and making it suitable for spraying. The fluidized powder is transported from the hopper via Injectors to the powder guns. There the powder is charged with the help of an integrated High-Voltage Cascade power supply and projected in the direction of the object. Depending on the use of the objects and the characteristic of the coating, there are different powders available. Epoxy, Polyester, Polyurethane, and Acrylic powders are the most common types in use. Structured, Metallic, Enamel and Thin Film powders for special requirements are also being used. A complete, automatic Powder Coating Plant is made up of several components: Pre-Treatment and Dry Off Oven
The oven is responsible for the proper heating of the objects. This guarantees a high quality finish. The transport system (conveyor) is responsible for a continuous transport of the objects through the whole plant. Your system design company will also provide you with detailed information for this, either for manual conveying systems or highly advanced, fully automatic Power & Free systems. |
